Job Purpose

  • Management of the Key Accounts,
  • Maintaining a long term relationship and
  • Maximizing sales
  • Customer Retention
  • Customer Service and satisfaction
  • New business development

Responsibilities

  1. Generating sales for a portfolio of accounts and reaching the company’s sales target.
  2. Leading the Key Account Team members from different functions such as;

a) Marketing (innovations, new products, concepts, new designs)

b) Finance (Invoicing and collection)

c) Technical (issues, technical support, training)

d) Supply Chain (new designs, transport, lead times, quality, stock management) to ensure professional services to Key customers

  1. Identifying new sales opportunities with existing accounts.
  2. Identifying and capturing potential new customers to develop new business opportunities.
  3. In cooperation with Marketing, long and short term strategy development and implementation as per market, territory, product group, producer, consumer conditions.
  4. Close follow up AR situation of the account to avoid overdue.
  5. Forecasting monthly deliveries based on customer’s production plans, and communication with SC for better allocation of the resources.
  6. Managing and solving snags with customers.
  7. Leading the CS Initiative and ensuring TDL completion.
  8. Supporting MD with daily activities.

Required work experience and skills:

  • Minimum 5 – 6 years of B2B Account Management and managing major national and international accounts, preferably in packaging industry.
  • Good knowledge of FMCG & retail, preferably in Liquid Dairy and / or Beverages.
  • Strong account management, Networking and relationship building skills in a multinational environment.
  • Solid negotiation skills. Experience in managing contracts and agreements of 2-3 million Euros.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Work experience in West African countries is desirous but not a must

Language: Niger–Congo languages,  English and French

Required educational qualifications

Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Business from an accredited university.

Desired: MBA

Computer knowledge: MS Office

Other additional requirements / pre-requisites:

Valid driving license
